On Saturday, September 28, join volunteers across the country for National Public Lands Day (NPLD). For over three decades, NPLD has inspired hundreds of thousands of volunteers to give back to our nation's public lands in all 50 states and US territories.

In the spirit of celebrating and supporting the gifts of our watershed, come join us for the Grande Ronde Watershed Public Lands Day at Ladd Marsh Nature Area. 

To discover and nurture our local public lands, the Grande Ronde Community Science Project is partnering with the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife,  Friends of Ladd Marsh, Blue Mountains Conservancy, and Greater Hells Canyon Council

  • RSVP's are needed by Tues, Sept 24 to reserve a lunch.
     

 The public is invited to engage in hands-on projects like: 

  • Watershed Monitoring with Grande Ronde Community Science
  • Plant Walk and Talk with OSU Plant Ecologist, Josh Averett
  • Site Clean Up with the Oregon Fish and Wildlife Department
  • Art activities with Blue Mountain Conservancy Wild School
  • Free Lunch - RSVP required by Sept 24.
  • FREE Transportation is available. A bus will depart at 8:30 am from the front of La Grande High School for Ladd Marsh. The bus will depart by 1:15  pm from Ladd Marsh to return to the La Grande High School.
