Dankworth Village Restoration Project
The Safford Field Office is planning on having our annual NPLD at the BLM's Dankworth Village. This site was developed back in the early 1990's as part of the BLM's Heritage Education initiative and has sat in disrepair for many years. The goal is to restore the exhibits and dwellings, perform trail maintenance, and repair signage as much as we can.

Volunteers will meet in the parking lot of Dankworth Pond State Park and have to walk about 0.62 miles to arrive at the project location. There will be ~four work projects to choose from; trail maintenance, mud hut restoration, sign repairs, and wickiup restoration. Volunteers should wear clothes appropriate for outdoor work like closed-toe shoes, pants, sun protection, and a water bottle. The BLM will supply personal protective equipment, tools, project materials, and light refreshments. Project work is estimated to range from 1-5 hours depending on the project.

The Arizona State Parks and Trails may identify additional project work depending on volunteer turnout.
