Sharon Stokes-Williamson
Sharon Stokes-Williamson oversees NEEF’s health initiatives providing resources and training for health professionals and caregivers to address environmental impacts on health. She is a talented and knowledgeable leader with over ten years of experience in public health administration. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Savannah State University in Social Work and holds a Masters (MPH) and Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) from Georgia Southern University and is a Certified Public Health Administrator. Sharon has a proven track record in advancing health equity, promoting health literacy, managing large-scale health projects, and collaborating with local and tribal health departments. Her recent role as a Program Manager with the CDC Foundation involved supporting the state health improvement plans and addressing social determinants of health. Sharon also worked in the College of Nursing and Public Health at South University, Columbia South Carolina, where she was the Program Director of Public Health and Health Sciences preparing allied health students for a career in public health. Sharon enjoys outdoor activities such as biking, reading, skating, and traveling.
