Beaver Lake Volunteer Day is an annual event in Arkansas dedicated to preserving the health and beauty of Beaver Lake. The event features shoreline and boat-based litter cleanups, with volunteers encouraged to bring their own boats. After the cleanup, participants gather at Hickory Creek Park for a lunch and a educational booths, where organizations shared data from Secchi Day and discuss efforts to protect the lake. The event underscores the importance of community involvement in maintaining water quality and promoting environmental stewardship.

Celebrate National Public Lands day by joining us for this three-day volunteer event, hosted in partnership with the BLM San Luis Valley Field Office. This project will focus on improving habitat and breeding conditions for the Gunnison Sage-Grouse, an endangered species found in the San Luis Valley. This year, we’ll work in a new location near Villa Grove, building on the success of similar efforts in previous years.

In-Person Event
Volunteers will focus on enhancing the trailhead and nearby areas of Arroyos Del Sol. Tasks include staining and improving fences, removing encroaching weeds, and performing partial trail maintenance to ensure the area is safe and welcoming. You may also assist with installing signs to improve navigation for visitors. Early in the morning, you may catch views of rising hot air balloons and spot local wildlife, making this project a rewarding way to connect with the outdoors.
