Event details

The project is planned for October 19th and will be a single-day planting event. An estimated 30 member of the community will receive a presentation on invasive species and the importance of restoring resilient ecosystems. Groups of volunteers will then work alongside OMD staff to ensure appropriate techniques and spacing is executed for planting species such as Sitka Spruce (Picea sitchensis), Pacific Wax Myrtle (Myrica califonica), and Pacific Rhododendron (Rhododendron macrophyllum) will be planted.
