December 07, 2015

UPDATE: The 'Every Kid in a Park' webinars listed below have been canceled. Please stay tuned for new dates and registrations to be announced by the 'Every Kid in a Park' team.

We encourage you to follow 'Every Kid in a Park' on social media, where information on transportation grants will be announced:

The U.S. Department of Interior's recent initiative Every Kid in a Park (EKIP), which provides the nation's fourth graders and their families with free admission to their federal lands and waters for a full year, has opened registration for an informational webinar in January 2016.

NEEF's long-running nature programming and initiatives, including Rx for Outdoor Activity, Environmental Education Week, and National Public Lands Day, complement EKIP's commitment to helping children (and adults) explore and enjoy the natural world through increased exposure to public lands. Through collective efforts, NEEF and EKIP are inspiring the future stewards of the earth to lead active life-styles and better understand their connection to the environment.

According to EKIP, the webinar will provide a chance for organizations to get up to date information on EKIP, learn about upcoming activities and transportation funding opportunities, as well as best practices to reach fourth graders across the country. There will be three chances to attend the webinar, January 11, 13, and 14, 2016, with each session taking place from 3-4PM ET.

Online registration is free and EKIP encourages interested parties to attend to have questions answered and hear how other organizations are getting involved with the initiative.
